This past year, OIPR conducted the Suburban Student Survey to assess student satisfaction with various aspects of their experiences on their primary campus. The survey was administered in class, to students on all of the suburban campuses. On one item, students were asked to grade their overall experience on their primary campus on a standard A through F grading scale and to provide written comments explaining the grade assigned (GENERAL. Students were also asked to provide written comments about what they liked most about their primary campus (POSITIVE), and what they would like to see changed (CHANGES).
The following query engine allows DePaul faculty and staff to view these comments and to select a subset of comments based on various student demographic and enrollment criteria. Note: Since many student responses could not be linked to institutional data, the demographics available in this query engine are limited to data collected on the survey.
Instructions: Select the Student Demographic and Enrollment Characteristics (i.e. Naperville students who live in the Northwest Suburbs, and who graded their primary campus a 'B'). Then select the Comment Categories you would like to see (i.e. Students mentioning campus facilities in their written comments). To select more than one option within a category, hold down the Ctrl button while you click your options. When you have finished your selections, click Submit. If you would like to save your results, highlight the table and go to the Edit menu => Click Copy, and paste the table into Word or Excel. To run another query, click the Back button on your browser or on the links provided on the results page, click the Reset button, and choose your criteria. If you experience problems with this application, please contact OIPR.
